Jesus is a special priest because of the incarnation.
He is 100% God and 100% human.

Jesus was tempted in every way that you have been.

Hebrews 5:3-4

Jesus is better than the priesthood because he didn't have to make a sacrifice for his own sins. (Leviticus 16)

Jesus is better than the priesthood because he is the one who does the calling.

Jesus is better than the priesthood because he only had to make the sacrifice once.

Jesus is better than the priesthood because his sacrifice fulfilled the entire sacrificial system.

Jesus is better than the priesthood because he is in the line of Melchizedek, not Aaron.

Aaron is the priest - Jesus is priest and king.
